19-year-old New Zealander Sam Blenkinsop won the UCI world cup final in Schaldming. Sam is the first New Zealand native to win a DH world cup final in the history of the sport. Here is a video of his winning run, the announcing and editing is questionable, but it does show just how fast and talented Sam Blenkinsop really is.

Not bad. His style reminds me of this woman that rides in the DNR here on Whidbey. Malin Anderson I believe her name is. Have you heard of her?
Congrats to Sam! It has been amazing to see him come up through out the years. In 2006 when he was a junior and got second at Junior Worlds, with an over the bars crash. I am super stoked for the guy. At age 20 and he is already winning world cups, i am convinced that he is going to be the next Sam Hill.
